What you actually pay for

Four things make up the real cost of venue booking software. The subscription is the one on the pricing page. The other three are easy to miss until the first invoice.

  1. The subscription. Almost always priced per venue (per location) per month. Annual billing usually saves about two months.
  2. Payment fees. Every platform passes on card processing. Some add their own percentage on top, and some charge per ACH payment.
  3. Add-ons. Floor plans, online self-booking, marketplace listings, reporting and AI are often sold separately.
  4. Setup. Migration and onboarding range from free to a paid project.

The fee most venues don't count

A percentage added to card payments grows with your revenue, not your usage. At 0.5%, a venue taking $300,000 a year by card pays $1,500 a year in added fees. At $1,000,000 it pays $5,000. That is often more than the subscription itself.

To compare platforms honestly, add the yearly subscription to the yearly added payment fees. Our savings calculator does the arithmetic with your own numbers.
